Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are relatively recent shopping events for Australian retailers. It’s been popular in the US for much longer because both these events happen just after the annual Thanksgiving holiday on the fourth Thursday in November.
If you’re selling products or services, you’ll know it’s been a tough year with all the COVID-19 restrictions. Taking advantage of Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday this year could give your 2020 sales a much needed boost. In 2019, combined Black Friday and Cyber Monday revenue topped Boxing Day sales for the first time.

How can your business be a part of Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
You don’t need to do anything special except to offer great deals limited to those days and to promote them heavily. It’s a good idea to offer discount or promotional codes that your customers can redeem on the relevant day either in-store or online.
It’s a great opportunity to encourage your customers and potential customers to sign up to receive future marketing material so you can continue to send them promotional offers throughout the year.
